My classes are run very much on the basis that I believe in getting my students confident with the use of paint and enjoying the ‘play’ factor of becoming creative. The classes are made up of complete beginners onwards, and are kept small (4 and under) a time, so as to enable the student to get the most out of the experience. I will do a demonstration to get you started, and then we progress from there in any direction you feel you want to. I ask my students to pay weekly – but feel for a beginner, you need to prepare yourself as far as possible to attend five classes – though many students enjoy the experience so much they stay indefinitely! For your first sessions, if you do not have acrylic paints, I will let you use mine – and I always have a supply of boards and canvas’ you can purchase at cost price – so no equipment needed, unless you have it, as I will have everything you need. A material apron would be good, as very often paint gets splashed! As you progress I would expect you to bring your own materials.
The cost of these sessions is £30. I understand there will be the odd occasion when you will be away or unable to attend, and do not charge for these occasions.
If you have a particular picture you would like to try and produce as a painting, bring it along and we can have a look at the process you would take to achieve the best results – if you don’t, don’t worry as I will always have a good supply of inspiration!
